April 3 - 26, 2023 (available Mons. & Weds. each week): Get ideas for helping learners succeed in your courses. Interact with your peers in these hands-on workshops to improve your courses and support student learning. Choose between 11 A.M. and 2 P.M. start times on Mondays and Wednesdays.
These two-hour workshops target specific challenges like setting expectations, helping learners track their progress, communicating policies, and discussion board assessments. You can implement what you learn right away to support the academic success of your students. You'll need a headset to get the most out of these sessions and participants should register individually.
Faculty who complete this package will be able to:
- Provide learning opportunities and tools for learners to track their own learning.
- Help learners succeed from the start by explaining expectations, communicating policies, and providing support services.
- Discuss course policies, institution policies, and netiquette guidelines to improve learner success.
- Develop a discussion board rubric that explains to the learners the criteria for assessing their work.
