Quality Matters: Your Friend for Accreditation and Compliance

Quality Matters provides a framework to address accreditation and compliance issues in online learning environments. This presentation extends the scope of QM from course level instructional design rigor to that of an organizational construct to support institutional and state-level compliance and accreditation needs. The presentation concludes with a look into emerging technologies that will impact online course development, delivery, and even accreditation.

Quality on Demand: Innovative Resources for Training and Course Design

This poster session displays the innovative resources developed at the Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing that has helped faculty and staff become more familiar with the Quality Matters rubric and standards. These initiatives support the overall goal of the institution that is to certify all of the online and blended courses offered. Two main aspects can be highlighted in the session: the use of templates that contain several of the Quality Matters standards and the development of an online tutorial for faculty and staff involved in online course design.

Part 1:  What does "Academic Rigor" mean to you and your institution? Explore the definition of academic rigor and its role in education during Part 1 of "What's Rigor Got to do with It?".
