In this workshop, you will explore the following seven policy areas related to teaching online at your institution:

  1. Classroom behavior and learner discipline
  2. Academic integrity
  3. Academic reporting and learner privacy
  4. Copyright
  5. Accessibility
  6. Instructor evaluation
  7. Other institutional policies

Each module begins with a scenario that prompts you to consider what you would do in the given situation, followed by resources, examples, and a “Policy Exploration” assignment in which you investigate your institution’s policies and concludes with a discussion where you can discuss your findings, questions, and experiences with your colleagues.

Prerequisites

Ability to Read and Write Standard Business English

What Participants Need
  • Asynchronous (online) option: A minimum commitment of 19 hours total is recommended for achieving the learning objectives.
  • Virtual (Synchronous + Asynchronous Component) option: Participation in the synchronous session(s) is required along with the completion of assignment(s) in the QM LMS.
